Explore Gare du Nord/Gare de L'Est

Serene, elegant, and famous as the departure station for the renowned Orient Express, Gare de l'Est is the pride of Paris transportation and historic architecture. Magnificent statues overlook riders entering the grand columned archways to trains eastbound to Frankfurt and Munich. Kiosks, food markets, and restaurants ensure travelers aren't hungry or thirsty. To skip the one-stop metro ride to equally dignified yet busier Gare du Nord and the Eurostar, it's a 10-minute walk via Rue d'Alsace, Boulevard Magenta, or rue du Faubourg St Denis.
