Explore Tremé

Famed as the birthplace of jazz, the Tremé area is still well-known for its jazz and blues clubs and nightly live music. Soul food is plentiful, with some of the best fried chicken in the world hanging its hat in this area. Enjoy a drink at one of the historic pubs, or slake your thirst for history and African-American culture at the local museums and cultural centers. Louis Armstrong Park also hosts a number of concerts and events throughout the year.
