Dining • Reinvented • Victorian
Once home to crackheads, Germantown has a renewed vitality. Townhomes are sprouting like a spring crop, and Victorian homes and colorful shotgun cottages are under renovation. Students hang in cool-kid coffee shops and energized restaurants offer menus that tempt modern tastebuds with oysters and wine, or satisfy old-fashioned ones with wood-fired pizza and a cold beer. In the evenings, honky tonks still provide some raucous evening revelry.
