Dining • Shopping • Chinese
D.C.’s Chinatown is tiny, but it’s still a great place to find dim sum or to shop for brightly colored trinkets and other curios. What’s most impressive about the area is the gold-tiled Friendship Archway, which serves as a visual gateway into this Asian enclave. Although few Chinese currently live here due to rising prices and moving to the suburbs, you still feel like you've stepped into a miniature neighborhood of Beijing or Shanghai.
